Travel theme: Laughter

There is absolutely not enough laughter in the world at the moment, so it is important that we seize whatever chance we can get for a giggle or a side-splitter to ease the tension and sadness that seems to be enveloping the globe.

It’s a new year and time for a new weekly theme to inspire.

I’m following Ailsa from Where’s my backpack? and the first of her themes that I am blogging about for 2015 is LAUGHTER.

There is absolutely not enough of it in the world at the moment, so it is important that we seize whatever chance we can get for a giggle or a side-splitter to ease the tension and sadness that seems to be enveloping the globe.

Ailsa refers to a wonderful quote from John Cleese that sums it up beautifully:

“A wonderful thing about true laughter is that it just destroys any kind of system of dividing people.” – John Cleese

There are no barriers when you laugh. It doesn’t matter whether you speak the same language or live utterly different lives. Religion doesn’t matter one iota – a smile between strangers and a heartfelt laugh will break down any barricade.

Take five minutes to flick through your photos and remind yourself of the laughter – not only of those captured on the screen but of those images that made you laugh. They might not be the best photograph ever taken, but if they put a smile on your face or take you back to a moment where you were bent double with laughter, then they are a great photo.
