Bangkok – A Snapshot

It’s 6pm and 30 degrees Celsius as I sit here on the pool deck of my hotel, looking a the skyline and the lights of the city below.

It has been nearly 15 years since I spent more than a fleeting moment I. Bangkok. The city’s appearance has changed a lot in that time – there are many more high rises, shopping malls, a subway and overpasses. However, despite these new editions, Bangkok still has that authentic Asian grittiness about it. A place where bargaining is expected and where some of the best food is cooked right there on the street. Markets thrive, the fastest way through the traffic is by tuk tuk, and a big bottle of Chang beer costs less than $2.

I’d almost forgotten how much I love Bangkok!
