Road Trippin’ – Blue Mountains

20131009-161016.jpg

Nothing “big” to see enroute from Lake Macquarie to the mountains, and since most of the 185km trip is on highways, it’s straight the majesty of the Blue Mountains.

Stunning valleys. Soaring cliffs. Waterfalls tumbling over cliff edges. More walking trails than you can poke a stick at (not the mention plenty of sticks to pick up to aid you on your walks). Amazing flora and fauna. Iconic sights, including the Three Sisters (access from Echo Point) and Jenolan Caves. Gorgeous villages and towns, especially Wentworth Falls and Leura.

Haven’t been to the Blue Mountains yet? You are absolutely missing out.
